Scottish Inns Potsdam

The beds were super comfy, and I appreciated the clean room 🍂 there was no coffee pot in the room, a slight bummer.

I thoroughly enjoyed the queen room with 2 double beds, refrigerator, as example. Everything seemed lovely, clean. The hotel had indeed a so excellent location close to stores...

Perfectly clean and updated units with refrigerator, 2 double beds and free WiFi, and the staff were honest. A shampoo and a soap were very handy. This location was great, just next door to center, and downtown area.

I almost considered giving a good review, but the filthy top sheet in my room was so offensive! Sleeping on top of the covers was awkward, not to mention the bed was a relic from the 60s. I expected a complimentary gesture for my discomfort-guess that's too much to ask here, huh?

A lot of yummy food for meals. Location - excellant and exceptionally nice right by nearby activities during the day and Clarkson University and the stores.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean

no ventilation in bathroom (there was a window but it wouldn't open). Only had 1 inexpensive lock on the door. Not very secure-a little unsettling for this reason

Staying here with my family and two dogs was a treat! Our double room wasvery comfy and tidy. The manager was super friendly. Breakfast had just what we wanted, simple but satisfying. Definitely felt at home!

My wife says that a small play area would be great.

The location was perfect for my visit to Clarkson U. The price was good for the one night stay that was required.

The continental breakfast was no good at all. If packaged pastries and donuts is all that will be offered, you should just default to coffee and tea only.

I had read some negative reviews about the Scottish Inns in Potsdam, NY.. So I was surprised about how clean it was............ The owners were friendly and told me they bought the motel 18 months ago. The breakfast, was ample (toast, cereal, small packaged do nuts, juice, tea and milk). Perhaps complaints should be directed to the former owners. If you are looking for a clean, centrally located place near the colleges, in and around Potsdam NY, this is the place for you.

A surprisingly comfortable stay

The double room was spacious and impeccably clean, with fresh towels and toiletries supplied daily. The air conditioning was my savior on a hot weekend, and I adored the charm of the place. The breakfast selection was just enough to get us going, with coffee, fruits, and pastries that were ready by 7 a.m. The friendly manager even added personal touches.

Convenient - right off highway

The room was cold, heater took 4 hrs to heat room to 71 degrees. Bedding appeared dirty, toilet did not flush properly, limited hot water. You get what you pay for. Would never stay here again.

My children wanted a more comfortable seating option in the room.

dirty linen, empty space viz the door and the floor, allowing vermin & bugs to enter, not enough blankets, and extra charge for dogs after we had settled in, and after we had paid cash, allowing the owners to not have to be discounted by the credit card company

cost, free wifi, close to town
